The Black Eyed Peas were disappointed at France’s NRJ Awards in Cannes, after being announced as Best International Group. The award was announced by choreographer Kamel Quali, who mistakenly declared the group winners, until minutes later, when he returned and admitted the error.

German band Tokio Hotel was then given the award for Best International Group, leaving audience members and fans a bit confused.

I’m glad that Tokio Hotel got the award they they won!

Myspace.com released the track listing early for the amazing soundtrack to Alice In Wonderland. Our boys have made it onto the soundtrack along side fellow musicians Avril Lavigne, Motion City Soundtrack and Owl City. They’ll be performing a song with Kerli (whom I also love)

7. “Strange” performed by Tokio Hotel and Kerli

I’m excited to see how this is going to sound with the two musicians together. Don’t forget to preorder the soundtrack on Amazon.com! Maybe next we’ll see them on another soundtrack? *cough Twilight Eclipse cough*

When Tokio Hotel start their 32 shows heavy first part of their “Welcome to Humanoid City” tour, their concerts take place in places like the Olympia Stadium in Moscow, in Barcelona, Paris, Madrid, Rome and (for now) only two German dates in Oberhausen and Hamburg (on the 26. and 28. February). One sign that the school friends from Magdeburg with their melancholical-metallic glam rock have long since become world stars.
The 20 year old twins Bill (singer) and Tom Kaulitz (guitarist) tell us after a spectacular GQ photoshoot in Hamburg how Tokio Hotel find their way as style-wise individualistic, as well as creative and ready to fight young artists in a world that has yet to learn to respect them.

Lucky for German fans, Tokio Hotel will be featured on the issue of GQ which goes on stands January 14th. I’m going to try and get my hands on scans, but it may very well be a short while. Bill and Tom look awesome on the cover, and really, Bill looks rather amazing in that top hat.

In the issue, there’s a quote from Tom that says: “Wenn man alle unsere Fähigkeiten zusammenzählt, sind wir eine Person“. What does this mean in english? Thanks to tokiohotelamerica for their translation:

“If one adds together all of our abilities, we are one person”

So, German fans, be on the lookout for the boys in blue coming to a store near you! You can click the pic to the side here for a bigger version of the cover to see what it’s going to look like and I will be adding it to the gallery soon!

German guyliner-wearing emo lads Tokio Hotel managed to crack the top-five in three categories — Album, Song, and Video of the Year — all on the strength of write-in votes! Their never-say-die followers get our honorary “Fans of the Year” trophy.

Even we fans won an award, shows how dedicated we can be right? Also shows we aren’t going down quietly in the slightest bit.
